The game made a dramatic turn around for the Mumbai Indians when he hit eight fours and two sixes in front of a jam-packed stadium. Deccan Chargers won the toss and elected to field.

The pivotal role for the Deccan Chargers is always played by Adam Gilchrist, who unfortunately, went down to Harbhajan for a duck to Harbhajan caught by Sachin Tendulkar. That spelt disaster for the DC.

Thereafter Rohit Sharma scored 45 runs  with two sixes and  three fours. The other contributors for Deccan Chargers were Monish Sharma 13, Hershelle Gibbs 27 and Suman 15.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians opened their innings with Sachin Tendulkar and Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan could contribute only 8 runs from the 12 balls he faced and was out lbw b Jaskaran. Sachin scored another half century in the IPL-3 and was out for 55 runs caught Gilchrist bowled R.P.Singh.

Then Bravo contributed 23 runs and McLaren 13 runs for the Mumbai Indians. Thereafter it was Bhajji and Bhajji all the way. In the 19th over Mumbai Indians added 19 runs to their kitty. Bhajji hit two sixes and eight fours in his magnificent 49 which led Mumbai to a defending score of 172 for 7 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.

For the Deccan Chargers pacer R.P.Singh took 3 wickets for 31 runs, Pragyan Ojha spun 2 wickets for 24 and Jaskaran paced 2 wickets for 30 runs.

Mumbai Indians beat Deccan Chargers by 41 runs. With Sunday’s win Mumbai Indians are on top of the points standings with 10 points.

This match was also figuring in tweeples tweets. One twitter said and I quote – “What did Harbhajan eat for lunch today”?

For the superb contribution of 49 runs which was followed by three wickets, the Man of the match trophy could only go to Harbhajan Singh.
