Though M.S.Dhoni enjoyed the first use of the pitch to the fullest, Shane Warne’s men were finding hard to fetch the ball in such hot weather on Saturday.
Channai Super Kings took in Sudeep Tyagi and and Bollinger to bolster their attack. The Rajasthan Royals brought Shane Watson into the playing eleven. Thanks to Murli Vijai and Morkel, Chennai Super Kings scored 246 for the loss of 5 wickets.
It was a scintillating batting performance by Murli Vijay who hit 11 sixes and 8 fours in his score of 127. Vijai got his century off 46 balls.
CSK were 91 for 2 after ten overs, and they slammed 155 in the final ten with Vijay and Albie Morkel setting a record for the tournament’s highest partnership. (more…)
