Kolkatta Knight Riders beat Rajasthan Royals in an almost one-sided match.Rajasthan Royals won the toss and chose to bat against Kolkatta at the Eden Gardens Stadium, Kolkatta on Saturday.
Rajasthan opened their innings with S.Watson and Naman Ojha and they put on 59 runs for the first wicket when Watson was bowled by Shukla for 44 runs. Watson scored seven boundaries and a six in his well compiled 44.
The Kolkatta bowler Unadakt spell doom for Rajasthan as he bowled exceptionally well and packed Ojha, Y.Pathan and Raut back to the pavillion in quick succession. (more…)

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bat at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium Jaipur on Wednesday. Bangalore restricted Rajasthan to 130 runs and they made these runs with utmost ease.
M. Lumb and Naman Ojha opened the innings for Rajasthan on a pitch which had a slow bounce. Rajasthan could not show their batting prowess today, as they were in bad shape right from the word go.
Lumb was run out for 9 and Rajasthan 16 for 1. Paunikar arrived at the crease but he too departed soon and the score became 17 for 2. Rajasthan got another blow when Ojha was out caught Pandey bowled by Pankaj Singh for 7 runs. (more…)

Mumbai Indians beat Rajasthan Royals by 37 runs and became the first team in IPL- 3 to advance to the IPL semi-finals. Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to field at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur on Sunday. Mumbai Indians opened the innings with Sachin Tendulkar and Sanath Jaisurya. Sachin was involved in two important partnerships with JP Duminy and Kieron Pollard to bring his teams total to a respectable semblance. Duminy scored 31 runs hitting four fours in the process and Pollard scored 25 with 3 fours and a six.
Tewary had contributed 15 runs which included four hits to the boundry. Rayudu got a thick edge off his glove off Shane Watson and nicked it to Naman Ojha. Mumbai Indians managed to score 65 runs of the last 5 overs. Even after having losing three wickets earlier, Sachin ensured to post a decent total of 174 on board. (more…)

Rajasthan Royals beat Kings XI Punjab by nine wickets and still had the lukury of five overs to spare. Such was the ferocity of the Rajasthan Royals batsmen that they made mince-meat of all the Punjab bowlers. Kings XI Punjab won the toss and elected to bat at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium at Jaipur on Wednesday.
Bisla and Jayawardane opened the innings and after four overs they were 30 for 1 with Bisla being caught by Fazal bowled Watson for 20 runs. Sangakara could not contribute much to the total and was out for 9 runs. After 10 overs they were 86 for 2. (more…)

Rajasthan Royals beat Deccan Chargers in a thrilling encounter which went down to the wire and was decided on the second-last ball. This was a victory for the Rajasthan bowlers who did not buckle under pressure. This win takes Rajasthan Royals to the fourth place in the points table. Deccan Chargers won the toss and elected to field against Rajasthan Royals in the IPL-3 match played at the Vidharbha Cricket Association ground, Nagpur on Monday.
Micheal Lumb and Naman Ojha opened the innings for the Rajasthan Royals. Action started right in the first over of the match when Lumb was declared out caught by Harrris and was called back by the third umpire after the replay showed that the ball had actually touched the ground before the catch was taken. Chennai Super Kings won the toss and opted to bat at the M.A.Chidambram Stadium, Chennai against the Rajasthan Royals and made a record 246 runs in a T 20 match. Though M.S.Dhoni enjoyed the first use of the pitch to the fullest, Shane Warne’s men were finding hard to fetch the ball in such hot weather on Saturday.
Channai Super Kings took in Sudeep Tyagi and and Bollinger to bolster their attack. The Rajasthan Royals brought Shane Watson into the playing eleven. Thanks to Murli Vijai and Morkel, Chennai Super Kings scored 246 for the loss of 5 wickets.
It was a scintillating batting performance by Murli Vijay who hit 11 sixes and 8 fours in his score of 127. Vijai got his century off 46 balls.
CSK were 91 for 2 after ten overs, and they slammed 155 in the final ten with Vijay and Albie Morkel setting a record for the tournament’s highest partnership. (more…)

Delhi Daredevils beat Rajasthan Royals by 67 runs. This is a comprehensive victory by Delhi over Rajasthan. Delhi Daredevils won the toss and elected to bat on Wednesday against Rajasthan Royals at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, Delhi. Delhi opened the innings with D Warner and Sehwag who put up 24 for the first wicket. Warner was bowled by Narwal.
Thereafter wickets fell for Delhi at almost regular intervals and they were 67 for 4 when Dinesh Karthik and Gautam Gambhir steadied the Delhi innings to consolidate their team’s score into a fighting total. Gautam Gambhir scored a classy 43 which were punctuated with 3 fours and was caught by Pathan off the bowling of Narwal. (more…)

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and chose to bat first at the Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera, Ahmedabad on Sunday. Naman Ojha and Micheal Lumb opened the innings for the RR in the hot summer afternoon when the temperature on the ground was hovering around 42*. A fully packed stadium watched the proceedings in the heat. The opening partnership was worth 47 runs, when Lumb was out, caught Thusara for 30 runs. (more…)

Rajasthan Royals beat Deccan Charges by eight wickets at the Sardar Patel Stadium at Ahmedabad on Friday. It was a match where spectators enjoyed the rain of the sixes.

Deccan Chargers won the toss and chose to bat. There was some confusion as to who had called the coin correctly, but the toss was awarded to Deccan Chargers who chose to bat. Rajasthan Royals contained the flow of runs by some shrewd captaincy under Shane Warne, who not only rotated his bowlers well but he himself sent a wonderful spell bagging 1 wicket for 15 runs. Their best achievement was getting rid of Adam Gilchrist early for 1 run, and that helped uplift the morale of Rajasthan Royals. (more…)

Kings XI Punjab won the toss and decided to field against Rajasthan Royals at the PCA Stadium Mohali on Wednesday. While Rajasthan retained the same line-up of the previous match, Punjab had brought in Sreesanth to strengthen their pace attack. The pitch at the PCA stadium had a lot of grass on top and was considered to be helpful to the seamers Sresaanth and Irfan Pathan who opened the bowling for Kings XI Punjab. Punjab’s decision to field made perfect sense in conditions favourable for bowling early on. Sreesanth and Irfan Pathan, managed to beat the outside edge on more than one occasion. (more…)
