Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bat at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium Jaipur on Wednesday. Bangalore restricted Rajasthan to 130 runs and they made these runs  with utmost ease.

M. Lumb and Naman Ojha opened the innings for Rajasthan on a pitch which had a slow bounce. Rajasthan could not show their batting prowess today, as they were in bad shape right from the word go.

Lumb was run out for 9 and Rajasthan 16 for 1. Paunikar arrived at the crease but he too departed soon and the score became 17 for 2. Rajasthan got another blow when Ojha was out caught Pandey bowled by Pankaj Singh for 7 runs.

This was Pankaj’s first appearance for Rajasthan in the IPL-3.Rajasthan team collapsed under pressure after losing 3 quick wickets and at the half way stage they had lost the fourth and were disastrously standing at 53 for 4.

Watson attempted to steady the sinking ship but he too was caught by Pietersen bowled Kallis. Rajasthan now depended most on Yusuf Pathan who also could not contribute much and was bowled by Steyn for 11 runs. Rajasthan Royals were ultimately bundled out for 130 runs for the loss of six wickets.

For Royal Challangers Bangalore, the pace men trio Pankaj Singh, Dale Steyn and Jacques Kallis bowled very well.

Bangalore chased the Rajasthan score with utmost ease. Kevin Pietersen took charge of the proceedings and scored a masterly knock of 62 runs and was run out in a non-existant run he took and saw Tewary still holding on to his crease at the other end.

He played a superb knock and slammed 18 runs in the fourth over with the help of four boundaries. He was mostly dealing in boundaries and there was no respite for the Rajasthan. Even Shane Warne’s magic did not work today. Pietersen had accomplished most of the task with Robin Uthappa, who was ruled out stumped by the third umpire.

Royal Challangers Bangalore scored 132 for 5 and with this win they are perched comfortably at the second spot of the points table and assured a berth in the Semi final line-up.

The award for the Maximum sixes was given to Kevin Pietersen.

The award for the Karbonnn Kamaal Catch was given to Kevin Pietersen.

The Man of the match was also given to Kevin Pietersen.
